I want a compact camera-rig and so I want to mount the Reddrive on top of the camerabody under the top handle. I use an extension for the handle. The drive has only 1/4" space to the top of the R1 so it will get hot when camera is on. Is that a problem for the drive ? Can it be damaged ? What is maximum temperature allowed without damage?:help:

I don't think heat is a problem but how are you stopping it rattling around?

I will mill a frame for the drive and attach it to the handleextensions with rubberpieces, so it is a shock mount as well.
Today I messured temperature of the drive on top of the body. It did not exceed 40 C / 104 F and it worked well. So should not be a problem.
