I saw the Movies from American which used nearly 5K sensor to HDCAMSR

Like : Superman Returns / Miami xxx / Rocky returns ? / Apocalypto ( Shutter angle 360 degree )

No matters how good the sensors are there, the Most effiecent encoding for the RAW data coming out from Sensor is the key, that's " REDCODE " under
1MB per frame ( 4K 24 frame ) less than 180Mb/s to compare with more than 400Mb/s and they are only in HD 1920x1080.

I will buy advanced technologies with Patents ( Sensors/Optics/Softwares ) but not an unafforable No Choice based Tape Based format for now and future.

As always, only a Leader has his options ,and the best way to predict our future it's to invest and create it ...................

Genesis is actually a 12mp sensor. But it's wired up and designed to only ever provide 1080p. Probably as they had no way to record more than 1080p. Viper has even more pixels, but it's wired up really strange. Probably too clever for it's own good if you ask me, but again, limited to 1080p.

It is because they have not addressed to the primary issue : CODEC , and very soon they will need a little help from a Friend to record their Data on DISK and NOMORE 1080P on Tape.

RED One = Sensor + RAW ( from the Bayer Color Pattern ) + CODEC ( under 1MB per 4K 24 single frame ) + TELECINE Treatment software then Formats Encoding to anything over the others just limited to 1080P from the very beginning then no more freedoms in Post works, because they are ENCODED in the very 1st stage.
