Just had an idea.

Develop an application that works with the REDmote and the BRAIN to transmit (Wi-Fi) a low-res version of the Video Monitor output.

The REDmote would have a mode that toggles to "Full Screen View" and the menu would be replaced with a live low-res monitor.

Basically you would be "streaming" so there would not need to be too much of a memory buffer involved... I guess it would all depend on if there is enough processing power, bandwidth, screen-res and bit depth, and perhaps other hardware considerations, but who knows.

Sure would be a nice feature.

I't a great idea but I would push it even further.

Someone should write iPhone application capable of viewing such streaming.

Even same application should be REDmote.

iPhone has Wi-Fi and should have enough computing power to handle such task.

Good idea. So RED would just need to write the front end. Then you would password protect the log-in and be able to support limited amounts of Wi-Fi connections.

Possibly could be a separate Module in and of itself. REDassist.

Anyone know what it would take on the Camera side to pull this off?

That's right.

I wish that Jim would coment on this.

And what are those holes on the top and sides of the REDmotes? Cause they would be awesome if they were the place to click in your wireless FF knob.

The resolution of the screen would have to be decent but not necessarily amazing since most good 1st ACs full looking at the talent.
