There was a post about this before, try searching for "Pinewood". I believe Brent said that at the moment Pinewood was only open for updates, that repairs would come "soon".

Full evaluation is part of the upgrade program. So, yes, that is being done at Pinewood. The plan has always been to have Pinewood be a full-service repair center - just not right out of the gate. Give us a little time to ramp up here :)

Hi,
Getting a ATA carnet would simplify matters.

I'm just wondering if it would be possible to get a used camera recertified and ownership transferred at Pinewood sometime in the future. I know it's not possible now, but I'd like to know if it's planned or if that's kept to the States.

Red Europe Ltd at Pinewood got a nice mention in this month's 'British Cinematographer' magazine - it says the facility is primarily for upgrades but Red Europe Ltd will also offer "support in the field". Apparently it opened at the beginning of November.
It goes on to say the new company is headed by Carl Ward, former chairman and CEO of Oakley Europe, with Alan Piper overseeing day-to-day operations. According to Piper: "Our coverage will not be strictly limited to Europe, but more to the time zone north & south - South Africa to Iceland and as far east as Turkey". The article also says Red europe may support camera users in India.
If anyone's interested British Cinematographer's quite a nice magazine...like American Cinematographer without the glamour ;-) You can subscribe to it here:
