DSMC Accelerometer option

With the prospect of having the SCARLET and EPIC models being used for quite a bit of still photography, I would like to know if an Accelerometer will be built in.

This could be included in the BRAIN or maybe the REDhandle to allow for measuring and writing metadata of the Camera's current rotation as is done with other Still Digital Cameras.

Of course, as a result, when viewing the images they would automatically be properly rotated, both in the Camera as well as on the Mac / PC.

what you mean is this horizontal vs vertical decision? inertial sensors might be able to do much more (such as stabilisation).

Stabilization modes would be nice too, yes, but I was just talking about landscape and portrait mode detection based on Camera rotation.

I think you have to pay a licensing fee for this, so it may not happen?

What would be even better was if that data could be exact enough to use it for tracking, alongside the e-lens data, within the metadata system.
A full 3D track would be much easier if the exact rotation per frame was known.
