When the Epic 617 comes out do you think the data and images from the Redcode recording data could be transferred and stored on Holographic Versatile Disc?. The Optware company is looking at storage capacities of up to 3.9TB per disc, so I think massive data from the 617 could be transferred on HVD's.
There's still the problem of how to display 28k resolution, the most advanced digital projectors can only reach up to 8k. Film processing labs such as FotoKem can only scan up to 11k on film. The resolution far surpasses IMAX which is about 10k. I think Red has there on way of displaying the images, maybe a 28k projector?
Furthermore, the aspect ratio is said to be 2.86:1, that would be near the aspect ratio of Ultra Panavision 70(2.76:1) WOW!
It's very exiting to see a breakthrough on this scale and magnitude, hopefully everything works out.
