looking at the new design concept I've wonder if separating the sensor from the electonic board could be a good or bad idea

This would let the user to have another degree of freeadom in defining and upgrading its RED system.

One could have more electonic board for the same sensor defining two or more systems around the same sensor.
This should be also cheeper to own.

1 sensor 2 boards Vs 2 sensor and 2 boards.

Could be also cheeper to produce defining a standard size module for sensors and if possible also a standard size module for electonics.
