Lenses communicating with RED FF (Follow Focus)

When you start making bigger and bigger sensors it would be nice if you made the RED lenses communicate with a custom RED follow focus. I would love to see a RED FF with the ff distance on small display. With the help of near and far "in focus" values splitting focus would be a dream. If it´s possible you could even create a "cinetape" module. I´ve been registred here for a while but it´s my first post ao I guess I should say "hello everyone" as well.
