Is this b-s or a typo or what ? Does anyone know more about this monitor, and it's panel ?

Too early to tell anything but that is what it says on the box.

If it's a 10bit panel (who knows?) then 2^10^3 = 1 073 741 824 colors.
But I think you won't know how good it actually is until you test it.

I did assume that suggests a 10bit panel. :-)
The strange thing to me was how come nobody jumped to test a $900 10bit claimed panel, because it's been out for some time.

I own this screen and I can't imagine that it's actually a 10-bit panel at that price. If it was then I'd expect Dell would have made an effort to put the word out there and used it very aggressively in their marketing/promotion material. Sure - it's a nice monitor, but it doesn't work with the RED via HDMI - the RED just freezes up.
