Hey there,
Iīm editing two short movies shot with RED.
My Sytem Specifcations are: Avid MC 3.0 Adrenaline with AvidUnity, FilmScribe 24.0, HP xw8400, Xeon Processor €@ 2,33 Ghz, 3GB of RAM, WinXP.

I followed the workflow from Avidīs Website, and it worked great until now, when I try to export the Avid XML. I used the XML Template for Filmscribe released by Avid. Then an error appears, when I push the preview Button:
"Exception:SATX_LOAD_ERR, file:XML.cp, line 111, vAttrCountA
Exception:ACX_SYMBOL_NOT_FOUND, name:vAttrCountA"

Do I have to update Avid to 3.05? Will it work then? Does the Avid keep all User Settings, Effects etc.

That is my most important quesion, the other one is, that it took about 40hours to export 50 min. material to DNxHD Files out of RedCine, is that normal. Our Avid Support said it took about double of the material time on an MacPro with 3.0Ghz.

Hope sb will answer fast, I wanted to do the color correction with RedCine on the next Weekend.

THX

Felix

The fix for REDCINE start to REDCINE pull list is part of the 3.1 due in a couple weeks. If you are in a jam, you can send me your bin with the sequence and I can generate the XML pull list back to REDCINE. Keep in mind that it is a pull list, and not a conform list. How do you want to finish eventually?

Thx a lot for the fast answer,
at frst we just need a dvd , which I would also do with the MC. I tought that the picture quality will be better if i do the CC with Redcine and then reimport to MC. Just later on, when we want to screen it, we move over to a Nitris DS, but with that Iīm not in a hurry. That is also a cause for doing he CC with RedCine, so I dont have to do it twice, just fine tuning in DS then.

What do you exactly mean with "pull list", i didnīt used any effects or st like that...

So I would like to accept your offer to encode the Bin for me. Thank you for that in advantage.

Would you send me a PM or so with your mail address?

pm sent.

A pull list is all the shots used to make up the sequence that would get processed as DPX, or DNxHD to be conformed back in a system for final mastering.
