This may sound superficial to some but I have come to really like my camera's serial number. To me its a number that represents a moment where I decided to make the jump. I also like the number three. If I make the jump to the Epic-X or the FF35 and trade in my R1, does my original serial # travel to the Epic's body?

I like that idea, but some of us who jumped on it slightly later than those who didn't may not want to wait around for 812 epic cameras before they get one....*cough cough*

Me too, I would love to get my low serial number put on my epix-x ;)

Joining the superficial brigade here... it would be cool if my new camera's serial number matched my coveted titanium "R #351".
If not, the 'R' will be a nice memento of a cherished piece of hardware. I keep telling myself that it is just a tool and to stop anthropomorphizing it... then it gets upset with me and sulks for days.
