i,m sure somewhere the answer for this must already exist but i'm wondering if 1.the camera will have the ability to emulate different ISO like a digital still camera
2.maybe a gain switch like a HDCAM camera and also if a built no ND is possible rather than filters

I've always had a question about digital cameras and ISO. I know that pumping up the ISO doesn't actually make the sensor "more sensitive", thats impossible, it only reads a lower level of light as the "middle" of the exposure, to give us an option for lower-light shooting.

So, my follow up question to DeaneThrussell is: when shooting RAW, is there really a point to setting ISO besides the sensors native? Shouldn't the ISO of a shot really be just another part of a LUT, and can be changed in REDCine just like white balance?

Well from what we know I can tell you there is no built in ND's you will need to you use a matte box just like a film camera. As for iso and gain. When shooting raw there is no real point. As for if they are on the camera Im not sure. This will be something the RED team or someone far smarter then I will take a stab at. But there is no built in ND's

When shooting RAW, yes there is a control that does exactly that - its called Exposure Index.
