I'm looking for something much better than a 40" Bravia and a book, otherwise I will be very disappointed.

In case you didn't see it, 2nd announcement was for a partnership with Silverado Systems to sell the configs as discussed in my April 2007 cover story for DV Magazine:

What do you folks think?
And I still have at least one more announcement to make...

Nice Mike! Down the road you may want to recommend a Red specific package, considering the requirements of Redcode, and our need for a larger monitor.

Nice work, Mike, but the cost of those RAID options will be prohibitive for some. It will be nice to see what your workflow/config suggestions will entail once RED is in the market place, Apple's new codec is battle tested, etc. It would be great to get by without such an expensive RAID option. (and I second Boothba's comment now that I see it)

Boothba & thinkbug - those first configs are just pretty much mirrors of what the DV article was - there will be other configs coming, those were just a start. A ProRes422 optimized system, a Red optimized system, tweaked laptop setups, etc....all in time.

I'm going to the RED optimized system. Too bad I'm on the other side of the world...
