It accesses it from Japan.
Is raw port module the one for what using it?
Can you detach it?

FLASH MODULE(CF) is a purchase schedule.

Can raw port module and FLASH MODULE(CF) be used together?

Please ..one.. teach in detail.

They said: Factory installed option. Installation removes RED FLASH options from system configuration. Her question is: factory installed RED RAW PORT modules that mounts on the left side of the camera is only means can't use another media at all, or is it detachable?
I guess, factory installed means hardwired. Jim said RED RAW CODEC is the best, but is there any option to use all media????

The RAW Port is a factory installed option. If installed you cannot use any of the three RED FLASH options - CF card, ExpressCard/34 or 1.8" SATA drive.

But you can use the external RED-DRIVE or RED-RAM options if RAW Port is installed.

The RAW Port uses a fibre optic link to an external DDR device, and is used when you want uncompressed RAW data, rather than REDCODE compresssed RAW data. For most users REDCODE is the way to go - excellent image quality and long record times at low cost.

Hi Stuart,
Can the RAW Port be factory added after the fact? In other words can I ship the camera back and add this option at a later date, or should I order it with this option?

Finally, will this option be available when the first 100 ship?

Thanks

I have another question:

Will adding the RAW Port option delay shipment at all?

I'm sure adding it at the last minute would delay shipment, but I have already included the option in my accessories pre-order.

I guess I better add this to my order now.
I assume no answer means they dont know yet.
