Changing curves has no effect in RA when recreating Quicktime proxies?

So I'm editing away in FCP from the Quicktime proxies and want to do basic adjustments in RedAlert and selects "Make Quicktimes" which will update all the Quicktime reference files. FCP knows the files have changed, but changes in the curves has no effect on the picture. Is that a bug or was it never meant to work?

It has never worked. Try to acieve your first-light with the other tools, contrast and brightness can come close to what you'd normally want to do in a first-light with curves.

Yeah that's what I ended up doing, but I'd appreciate if I could - say - only raise my midtones and not the whole range in my footage.

I take it curves and gamma work with redrushes or redline transcodes using the RSX though no ?

Yes, just not with L&T.
