Guys, Gals and anyone else who stops by,
Just wanted to let you all know that this will be my last posting on REDUser. For no other reason than having such a strained time schedule. I am working on private projects, writing a book and just settling into married life. I am sure there are still potential benefits of being a part of this community and I will definitely stop by for a read every now and again.
A lot of you guys have become good friends and as such have my personal contact info so please feel free to use that for contacts as of now. I will not respond further to PM's or other contact attempts stemming from REDUser.
I guess to an extent this is also my own private stand against the enforcement of the real name policy. I have nothing to hide but certainly understand that there are some users here, high profile users, who simply wish to retain a certain amount of anonymity. Being forced out of their cover is a tactic I certainly don't agree with.
So cheers one and all. Its been a great ride. I trust your goals, present and future, bear fruit and your successes are achieved with the professionalism that I have seen displayed, in most cases, by those I have had the pleasure of interacting with.
Cheers,
CamDiver

No, Mark!!! Say it isn't so! Don't leave us....
Seriously though, if you have to go, I wish you all the best. I have enjoyed your contributions, especially the shark pics and I love your recent macro shots. Once again, congrats on your recent marriage.
If you're ever in my area, give me a call or an email or whatever... :)

As a lurker and occasional poster here for the past few years it is safe to say that your contributions to this group will be sorely missed.
Good luck with whatever life happens to throw your direction.

I understand why Mark wants to take a long break from this place. Reduser isn't as friendly as it use to be. But I also understand why there's been a change because some of the new people here are causing way too much trouble with all the bitching they are doing about the new cameras. Not to mention the people here with multiple accounts, which just blows me away.
But even though Reduser is cracking down, the support from Red is still just as friendly as ever...or at least that's what my experience has been.

Hey Mark, wise move, dude! It's been great fun reading your posts. Learned a lot. Thanks for taking the time to post here - best wishes on all this cool (and far more important) stuff you're getting busy with now.
Just let me know next time you're planning to go to South Africa... don't just post in Reduser saying "hey, I'm there!" It takes a while to get the tribes converged to welcome you properly ;)

All good things must come to an end. But everything is subject to change, count on it. Best of luck with everything. Will we at least see you in Vegas for NAB?

So make up a false name if it bothers you that much (you know something like Alan J Smithee......that guy is such an awesome director )
