First we couldn't get the camera initialized when our monitor was plugged in (HDMI). And then there is the qt wrapper issue. Does anyone know a way to get the qt wrappers fixed in Build 18?

Has anyone had the HDMI problem or know how to fix?

Thanks,

Tristan

The HDMI to plasma or LCD has been a known problem to freeze the camera for quite a while not specific to build 18. If you are on a Mac, the FCP installer has the new QT codec that will let you view the proxies appropriately. www.red.com/support

Certain brands of monitors can cause problems on all camera builds. Try a different type of monitor and you may have better results. Among the cheap "Best Buy" type of monitors we have had success with the Samsungs.
