Holy high concept. This trailer looks a tiny bit better than the previous one.

I guess I can put aside my usual ultra-low expectations of any Nicolaus Cage movie and look forward to seeing the movie due it's RED-ness. :-)

Been waiting to see this one on the screen for years now. Looks like fun!

Some images look pretty noisy though, but I don't know if that has to do with the image capture of the compression for the web.
Anyhow, many great images, that no one could tell apart from 35mm, judging by this trailer. And the movie looks very interesting too, I hope to see Nicolas Cage in a good movie again. He can be really good if the material is good (The Rock, Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, ...)

Knowing looks like it will be pretty good, although towards the end of the trailer it looks pretty weird. I'll probably still go and see it just because it was shot on RED, and that the building at 48 seconds is a scientific facility where my father works...

Looks interesting, but I'm perturbed by the randomness statement at the beginning on the trailer. We know that a simple and precise iterative equation can produce chaos (Mandelbrot set), and that within chaos, we can find order (like Jupiter's RED spot).

It's just a movie Graeme :w00t:

we had one of our tech's on the US second unit for helicopter work - AMAZING looking stuff - this movie's premiere is a very bad day for Kodak.

Every day I see more and more really cool RED footage. Makes me proud. Thanks Mark.

Kevin,

If Nicolas Cage rang your doorbell tomorrow to tell you he wants the lead role in your latest brilliant script, would you tell him no thanks cause you think he's a bad actor?

Probably not. Also, acting with talented actors might change your perspective. Or maybe you have? I did a scene with Billy Crystal and Robin Williams and it was torture cause I was terrible and they were gracious and patient and professional. I was playing myself in Father's Day, one of the guys in the band, and I was having trouble delivering a punch line of dialogue. Billy Crystal noticed me having trouble, and helped me out. He could have ranted and raved about working with a novice, but he had class and was cool about it. I only bring this up because sometimes we can not like an actor, but that doesn't mean he can't act.

This movie looks great! The footage looks awesome, but so does the lighting, set design, wardrobe and cast.

There's some very nasty (as in bad) compositing in some of the shots (especially the subway sequence), but the RED stuff overall looks awesome!

I always reserve judgement until I see the actual film. Sometimes, some FX shots in a trailer are incomplete or end up getting some final tweaking before theatrical realease.... sometimes. Hoping.

Anyway, the new trailer looks really good overall. It does look a bit weird in terms of what's going on (story), but then again, I really want to see the movie now. Based on the first trailer, I was only interested because it was shot on RED, now there seems to be a whole lot more to it.

releasing any footage of that kind would result in me getting sued

I saw the trailer last night in a theater (universal studios in LA) and it looked INSANE GOOD!
