Hi all, I'm quite new to the digital cinematography world & the Redone, and at the risk of sounding stupid I was a little confused about the various storage options & what they do exactly (apart from the RED DRIVE which is pretty straight forward, lol).

I know this must sound like a silly question, but any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

JB,

Here is a link to one of the threads that goes into the storage options. Some great info in there that should clear some things up. Hope that helps.

RED RAM is like the RED DRIVE but with flash instead... so no moving parts. Accordingly, lower capacity but higher price.

Onboard flash options are flash-based, but storage sizes vary upon what media is available at the time of shipping.

My FAQ doesn't have storage options covered yet, but there's some good info you'd probably benefit from. It's linked in my signature.
