To all Steadicam operators on this board thereīs a brand new, highly advanced system on the market that will rival all professional rigs out there And it is very affordable...

Marcus Pohlus (Steadicam op of Oliver Twist, Pianist etc.) once fully extended the arm of the rig I was wearing to show me how the middle hinge flexes under load.
I feared that my back was going to break into two, fortunately it didnīt happen, but THAT was painful.
But I think the pain THIS thing will cause will be unbelievable.

when i was small my mother was very strict against playing with guns (like children swords or guns made of plastic etc.), so for mardi gras / carnival i wanted to have a knights costume and the comprise we settled after an heavy argument was the following: i could have a knights costume, but she will handcraft it from cardboard ... to make a long story short: the costume looked ridiculous, the cardboard sword failed in the first minute of fight with the other children (who had "real" swords made of plastic) ...
i don't know, why i had to think of this childhood episode, when i looked at the website of SALIX
;-)

Yeah, quite farstretched... ( just kidding, Martinnoweck ). Some parts of this rig looks...a bit...oversized...to say it in a descent way.
About your carnival-costume, youīve been lucky it didnīt rain and storm like it does now here in Berlin, thatīd be a bit crasser.

It just looks heavy but actually only weighs 2.2 lbs (1 kilo) because it's made from Rearden metal.

Got 'nuthin to offer, except that I pretty much respond to any post on any forum that mentions Rearden Metal...
