Hey Guys,

Has anyone shot with a system like this yet, I really wanna see what kind of effect it would have on the super clean Red picture..

Thanks

red one and mini 35 doesn´t make any sense. mini 35 is just an adapter system for 35mm optics and 2/3 cams to fake 35mm. but your working with a pl mount and a 35mm chip in the red one. no need for a mini 35.....

Maybe Rbs-ent knows this and is looking for the mini35 effect, which can be described as a kind of special atmospheric grainy look. If this is the case I suggest working with AE or Shake instead in order to maintain high quality in the originals.

I'm not sure how you would do it? B4 adapter then P+S 35mm adapter for B4... 120fps, load of light loss, 35mm dof, optical distortions, but only recording a 2k center cut.

Try it? might look interesting...

Yes please do, I was aware of the fact that it might be pointless, I would though like to see where else people can push the Red system it terms of film like effects.

When these adapters first came out they almost changed the whole game for independent film makers and the feeling has been the same since Red has been out.

I can think of any number of other ways to get a 35mm DOF adapter look, including the addition of grain in post, and a very subtle vignette.

I always considered those adapters to be a major pain in the ass with light loss. Have no desire to re-enact the experience with a 250asa camera.
