This is a great resource for those looking for some detailed info on Nikon's somewhat arcane lens naming and technology choices.

Juat to be clear all Nikon F mount lenses will attach to the Red one Nikon mount. However the "G" series which include all "DX" Nikkors do not have an aperture ring so they will be attachable but you will be stuck with minimum aperture only (f16-32!). At least until Birger comes out with their electronic Nikon mount (hopefully before the end of the year)
Thanks Jaadgy!

hey edgar01
the Nikon vs Canon fight continues in another thread (though we are in a lull until after Gibby's LA test :innocent: )
ALL Canon and Nikon lenses will be fully supported by the Birger mounts, but we don't know how they will perform on the RED camera yet (awaiting the LA test..)

The "E" series lenses were cheap lenses made for a Nikon plastic bodied camera about 20 or so years ago. They were also plastic bodied and cheap but were fairly good lenses.
