I have a question about Anamorphic recording mode.(Build 18)
I am wondering if RED company provides any original Anamorphic lenses.

Thank you

You don't want to use anamorphic lenses until the EPIC comes out. With the RED One Sensor, you're just stretching out an already rectangular image. I will be all about the FF35 Epic with an ana lens when it comes out though.

RED ONE has a 4:3 anamorphic mode for correct 2:35 anamorphic. It's still a center crop of the sensor, so point taken, FF35 will be superior, but you can use anamorphic lenses correctly on the RED ONE.

I disagree, I have mentioned it before but some of the best material I have seen from R1 was shot with anamorphic glass. Yes FF35 will be even better but who has one of those? I love to look into the future as well but if your working in the presence then give it a go, I will be getting my hands on a set this month and will post more feedback about my experience...if you interested in the glass PM me. cheers
