I had a dream last night about our camera. It was a bit like at the doctored photo below. Jim had carried the RED ONE cam handheld on his shoulder wearing on his head the RED-OAKLEY Video Eyewear with 720p resolution (800 TVL or more). The Video Eyewear using the binocular vision that is a vision in which both eyes are used together. It’s like watching a 40-foot movie screen from the best seat in the house. The critical judgement of focus and exposure can be made right at the camera. Also it has possibility to switch in the ONE EYE view option for those who were used to work with an old type of EVF. The head dispay Video Eyewear viewfinder "will offer a lot of the data requested - fps, shutter and lens data as reported by the follow focus system. It provides options for graphics such as frame guides, histogram (exposure) and focus". The RED-OAKLEY Video Eyewear also has attached a module with the highest quality dynamic stereo HiFi/professional headphones for the audio control. No doubts this is the most advanced digital camera viewfinder specially constructed for the RED ONE the most advanced digital cine camera in the world. The Video Eyewear costs about US $ 1.000. The headphones are sold separately for about US $ 650. The camera also had on the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AI manual lens, on the side it has a high contrast status display that is highly visible in direct sunlight and with adjustable back-lighting - for current timecode, fps, shutter, ISO, audio modulometer, etc. The audio has two knobs for the line faders and mic faders. Also has the audio main selector wheel with buttons for many other audio adjustments. All these camera fine tuning knobs, buttons and other controlls are placed on the left side of the cam body closed to the cinematographer's head for easy and fast use in almost every shooting situation. I couldn't believe it...it's not true...I opened my eyes and than saw the calendar was on Sunday, January 14, 2007...

Sorry, Jim and the RED team, it was just a dream.

Poor Jim if it is possible to name it regarding such injustice...I prefer the original one. BTW, did you receive my PM? If so, what for are you waiting (to take a look at)? Still better than my offer? It will be impossible to find it -- believe it my dear fellow! But please, don't answer me here, as post. PM me. Don't be lazy (nor cruel) Sanjin, 'cause I know you aren't so!

EDIT -- Sanjin, I don't know what happened to your PM but I'll try the e-mail!

Wow, seems possible if everyone on the RED team worked on it for a year.

Have this pair of Grip for RED one right now ( part of accessories ) at least, and no need from the Oakley teams to build the " Eyefinder " within 12 months!!!

Optional RED-OAKLEY Video Eyewear is a part of camera accessories and could be added later, maybe in a year or two if they found it as a part of the tools that gaining importance for the overall high-end concept of the cam.
