View Full Version : Swapping orders for compensation?
We have a production scheduled for September, and have ordered 8 Reds but they won't be ready til Oct. or Nov. Is there anyone out there expecting their cameras as early as July no later than August that would be willing to swap orders - for compensation of course? We'd also be willing to rent them. We're looking to rent/swap 8 cameras in all.

#206 will be available for rent, as I don't have any firm long term productions lined up of my own. I can work my own projects on a flexible schedule. I would consider swap for comp, but I think RED frowns on that and given the nature of this whole project I would like to respect the spirit of the "rules" even if they might not be legally enforceable.

as of now we don't know when REDS will ship ...
8 camera's for one project ??
where are you located ?
how long you need camera(s) ?
you need all 8 for whole shoot ?
know of 4 REDS in the serial #100 - 125 range - no swap ... rental only ??

seems there are many ways to get more then 5 ..
IE: BIG Pictures Inc orders 5 and then steve who is co-owner orders 5 under his name ... Bill who is also a co-owner order 4 under his name ...
and before you know it you have more then 5 REDS
