When I change source settings, my image zooms (I'm getting a cropped version of what I shot at 4k/edited at 1k when I switch from 1/4 res to 1/2 res). Any guidance?
If I understood the intent of the "resolution" setting, it was to set a working resolution, separate from the raw shooting resolution. This should logically match the framing, but just contain less pixels.
The way that it's currently working, changing resolution causes a crop. This is obviously not ideal, and seems to undermine the whole point of being able to change resolution.
User error, or is this a bug? I'm running on XP with the latest Premiere CS4 and Red plug-in.
UPDATE: The issue seems to be that the sequence resolution doesn't automatically change when the Red resolution settings are adjusted. In fact, there doesn't even seem to be a way to manually change them... I'll keep digging though. I'm guessing this works properly on Mac, and that it's just an issue on PC?
UPDATE #2: Yup; creating a new sequence with twice the resolution, and the copy/pasting the contents of the other sequence fixed the cropping. Should this be necessary? From the tutorial video, it seems like this would be automated, but maybe I just misunderstood.
