hi

I have some questions about the workflow.

1.) the red drive got 320GB. It depends on the format I shoot, or does the red drive work with every definiton, also 4K???whats exactly the difference between this cheaper resolution and the expensiver RedRam....and for what are the other modules???

2.) if I shoot 4k. I have RAW Data not RGB 444. thats also the reason why the datarate is lower. but is the definiton of the red than not lower than the 4k (DI) of an 35mm Film. Because in the film I have different layers depends on the wavelenght of the light, an so 3times the higher definition

3.) which is the standard amount for lenses??We have P&L Mounts...do I need an adapter???

thanks a lot for your help...and I am sorry for my bad english

greetings
D.

Everything can be changed, but as far as I know:

1) the red drive is connected via a proprietary / special esata connection to the red one, but has also a firewire port (for example for back up, etc.). you can also do a forum search on this topic, because there are a lot of threads regarding these issues.

2) i don't know so much about RED RAID, but i am sure you will find answers if you do a forum search on this topic.

the red drive only captures data through the esata port. however, it can send data out via firewire to your pc.

no specifications have been announced regarding red raid. it is still in development.

The RED-RAID is not the flash memory drive. It is a future product for uncompressed capture, which we know no detail of yet.

The RED-RAM is the flash memory drive which is the same size as the RED-DRIVE, and connects in the same way in the same place. It also records in the same format (REDCODE).
