I guess you already given the upgrade to Epic alot of thought already, but I have recently been looking at the FF35 Epic instead of the S35. Since I do alot of chromakeying work, the FF35 would make the most logical choice, since I can more easily grab "fullbody" takes, without tilting the camera 90 degrees to make more use of the sensors width.
Now.. The Epic-X Is the same price as the EpicS35 but you get the CF module, battery module and the I/O and a nicer brain than the S35 brain, from what I understand. The modules will surely cost alot of money.. not under $500 each I guess. Sooo what to do? My plan now is to buy the Epic-X, but sell the epic-x brain to anyone that is interested in buying the S35 brain, keep the modules and buy the EpicFF35 later on.. Would that make any sense? Im just trying to save a few bucks here.. But I sooooo hope Red also comes up with a "Epic-XFF35" solution for 33 grand (or 33+ grand or something), that would solve all this in an instant..
