Hallo out there!
I'm a german student in media engineering with focus on av media from Hamburg. I'm very very interested in 3D stereo and i'm looking for an opportunity to get some experience in that area.
Does somebody have any idea where I could get the chance to be present at a 3D shoot? It doesn't matter where (well, europe would be great), when or what, (would be great just to be present, would be even greater to even get a task).
And i'm looking for an internship, too (everywhere in the world, if possible not in germany, it's just important that i will learn everything about shooting 3D, hehe)
Would be great to get some information / contacts from you guys! Thanks a lot!!

I'm from Germany also. And I will do a 3D Flick in 2010. Well, before I'll do some Shorts also to test it out. If you'd like to be there also (I'll film in Düsseldorf or around that area propably) just send me an E-Mail and we can stay in touch. I'll start when I get ma Scarlet Fixed 3D Kit, and I'm also a newbee in Stereo.
To the others here, If you need someone to help on your 3d Shot, contact Sebastian and me :-) I work for food, getting where you are and knowledge ;-)

Hi Sebastian! Hi everyone!
I'm also a student from Germany. I'm studying media science and have been to some workshops. Maybe this could be of some interest.
There ist the "Insight Out" Workshop in Potsdam - Babelsberg. They also offer DVDs of their workshops that you can order on their website. Not too much 3d lectures but at least the dvds are quite interesting.
"Hands on HD" in Hannover is also a good Workshop with lots of Hands-on-experiences. They also have a 3d-class.
Unfortunally these workshops are not for free. But if you just want to get an overview and get in contact with some people I could recommend the
"digitale cinematographie" in munich. It's free, they offer small workshops, screenings and some hands-on-sets.

I was at Insight Out 2007. There are some very interesting topics there! I recomend it.

I recommend reading books on 3D, and most of all build a 3D still photography rig and start taking pictures and experimenting. This is the best way to learn about stereography.
If you are in LA, we do offer internships. Send us an email.
