View Full Version : Wrappers not showing up out of REDrushes

I'm trying to import some clips from a reshoot creating the QT wrappers and ALE out of rushes. We did this before, but my assistant, who is no longer available took care of the importing. I am following the AVID guide, but when I click "Make QT wrappers", nothing is showing up in the output folder. I know we had this same issue before, and that it was easily fixable, but I can't get a hold of my assistant, nor do I remember what he did to fix this problem. Any ideas?

I should also mention that this is using version 3.5 of rushes. I'm hesitant to update and have the files from two versions in the same project. Is this a valid concern or should I just update to version 3.6?

In earlier versions of REDrushes the folder name as the target cannot have spaces in it.

So "Dailies Folder" needs to be names "Dailies_Folder" or "DailiesFolder"

Thanks Michael. I knew it was something stupid like that!

I ended up just updating to 3.6. Is it going to be a problem when conforming that most clips have the +1 added to the start tc and these new clips have no modification, or will it make no difference down the line?

The +1 is added to the tail of the shot to not force the Media Composer to squeeze 10 frames of media into a 9 frame slot.. (or whatever the duration of the media might be). The issue with not having the +1 is that Avid makes "the shoe fit" by dropping a frame in the middle of the clip meaning that metadata will be off by 1 frame from the middle of each clip to the end. You want to have the +1 as part of the ALE. This was a great addition to this version as well as the ability to render to QT wrapped DNxHD directly which is fast than transcoding during import since it used more than 2 processors if available.
