Hi All,

I just got my RED back from the upgrade and was going to switch the PL mount to a nikon one again this eve, is there anything I should be aware of now that the ipins have been installed?

Thanks in advance.

Ed.

There is a groove in the mount for the i/pin wire and connector. Make sure the wire and connector are in that groove. Main thing is to not pinch the wire. Exposing the raw wire to the metal on the camera, not a good thing.

I just got my camera back with the new i/pin. I'm trying to switch mounts from the PL to the Nikon mount....how do I disconnect the connector from the RED PL mount socket? I can't see anything that'll make it release and I'm loathe to just tug on it. What do I need to do?

Just make sure you're grabbing the actual connector that's attached to the wires and pull gently until it comes out. Might need to jiggle it a little bit as you pull, but just be careful not to rip it out recklessly and you should be okay. It comes out pretty easily.
