Is it me, or did the camera used to preview CameraRGB/REC709 and now previews REC709/REC709 when in the REC709 view mode?

Is there a way to get back cameraRGB?

The colours we are seeing are ghastly. I wish I could post an image, but I am not allowed to. Looking in RedAlert they are the same, receiving such comments as "Dear God!"

It's fine for me, knowing what's going on underneath, but it's scared the hell out of the DoP and he refuses to use an 80D because he feels it looks even worse.

Rec 709 is not what it once was...
It's still the best to grade from if your only using the Quicktime proxies in FCP, but straight up they look a touch purple and some times dark.
I use them them still becuase I know how to get good pics from the quicktimes by using REC709, but if it's on set stuff dalies your presenting on set just shoot using REDSPACE. simple then. less panic. At the end of the day the raw R3D's are perfect and you shouldn't need to use any filtration other than ND's, putting on colored filters is old school now.

The trouble with redspace is that it can make people underexpose a bit. I have a DoP using REC709 and he is still under exposing.

I disagree about filtration. In a build 17 test I found the 80C and 80D to make a significant reduction in noise in the blue channel.
