The V lock on the Red cradle for the Red Brick batteries I got doesn't lock the batteries in place.
Even though it feels like it locks into place if the battery is given a whack from underneath it comes right off the cradle.
Is this just a problem with my cradle or is this a design flaw?
I'd like to get it fixed but I'm worried about it begin inherant to the design.
has anyone else had these problems at all?

you need to "break it in"
Try pushing real hard until it clicks, do this several times. Sometimes it takes a swift hard push on to click, after you do this several times in a row it will start working correctly.
BTW- Be sure to verify that the pins are lining up first.

digitalfx, ummm, ok, strange to call someone by that name but hey I'm not your mother, LOL.
So you are saying, with your camera, once the battery is mounted you can whak the bottom of the battery with the palm of your hand and it doesn't come off?
I was handheld going from a standing to a squat position and caught an edge with the battery knocking it off. Another time just setting the camera down and bumped the battery against the camera case knocking the battery off.
The lock is not a lock, but a spring loaded release. When pressure is put against it, it pops allowing the battery to pop off.
If I am totally off base here please someone correct me. I would like to not be concerned about my battery falling off when bumped.
(the battery's and both the belt clip and camera mount have been broken in)

It is a release. we have been using a C-47 as a lock, reverse it, clip it on,and release can't get accidentally depressed
