I know this is a post question, but nobody looks at those threads. Is there a way to burn in the 2.35 matte on output in Redcine; shot 4k 16:9 output 1080 Prores. The matte in Redcine won't be on the final 1080 output. Is there a way to make it happen?

This might help...

Similar problem - subtle differences. The solution worked for me.

Good luck,

Nick.

I notice that if I put in Burn in guides that the guides actually go away. Is that normal? Either way, I'm not getting any guides on my output.

I put in some screen grabs to clarify. I don't have "burn in guides only" selected because it didn't work. Once I select that, the guides go away.

No one knows? Anyone from Red have an answer?

I ran into this very same problem and received no solution other than move to RedAlert and use RedRushes to do the appropriate letterboxing.

I figured it out. You can't have border selected in project settings. Once that is unselected and you have guides and blanking selected, "add guides only" in the output menu should work.

Never Mind. Now it's not working again.
