I am trying to edit footage shot with two different RED camera's. One of the camera's has a curve built in and one doesn't. Is there any way to import the footage into FCPS using the log and transfer without bringing in the curve data? What is the best way to match this footage, going into RED Alert and matching each setting then rendering new quicktimes? Any help is appreciated.

You need to make a "normal" look in Redalert and then save a preset. This preset will now turn up in the "gear" menu in FCP's Log and Transfer.

Thanks Cail,
I thought the presets would not alter the curve data. I have done this before and noticed the curve from the camera settings are not affected. I have been able to resolve using redcine, but this is a slow and tedious process, any other way to remove this metadata in post?

You are right about L&T not respecting curves from RA, but you can use RR or Clipfinder with an RSX for conversion – they do.
Unfortunately you'll loose the possibility to conform in FCP this way.

Should read "easily conform" - you can still do it, there's just a couple extra steps in Clipfinder.
