Here's a feature request that may or may not be doable.
Switching to an alternate frame rate is currently a somewhat clunky process, especially when overcranking (reset resolution, switch menus, reset to Varispeed, dial in new speed)
Could there be a "PS" setting menu (perhaps assignable to the A B C buttons in the rear) that, when activated, gets you to your alternate speed setting in one button push? Just like any Arriflex camera with the "Norm/PS" switch. It could change the resolution if necessary and get you to your "program speed" (or if you like, "program state") all in one...
Often, when shooting, a director might call for an agreed-upon alternate frame rate, and the current process (especially the fact that the camera does not remember the last Varispeed frame rate) brings everything to a halt just long enough to seem clunky.
I don't know how possible this is, but it sure would be a welcome feature. For me, anyway.
Cheers,
Harry
