...Not compatible? I tried installing it and the installer dissapears halfway through. Is it only compatible with vista 64bit? Am I the only one who thinks xp is lighter/steadier than vista?

It works in both, vista 64 and xp 64.

In my experience, it works more smoothly under vista 64 and a quadro 3600M and 4 GB ram (laptop) than under XP 64 and a quadro 4600 with 8 Gb RAM (desktop), where it freezes randomly. It probably has to do with the graphics drivers, but i've updated to the latest and the problem still persists.

In the laptop with Vista 64, I haven't experienced a single problem.

I cannot get it to install as well. I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Any ideas? Or do we have to wait for 1.4?

Install order needs to be video card drivers (latest version), non-trial version of Adobe CS4 apps (Production Premium, or standalone versions), update all Adobe apps to current version (minimum required is 4.0.1 on Ae and Pr), THEN install the Red CS4 Plugin pack (minimum version 1.3.0).

If you installed out of this order, uninstall everything and try again. Bear in mind you need a recent video card to support Adobe's hardware acceleration too, though if you're talking Vista 64 I imagine you're already running a reasonably current system?

Works fine here on Vista Ultimate 64 version.
