hi,
i m going to shoot the documentary on the RED. but i have heard that RED is not good for the on location audio recording.
please suggest what should i have to keep in mind to record the good quality of audio on RED?
your suggestions are valuable for me.

The newer models got a much better audio board, 48V phantom power with a mic works very well.

If you use a good mic and a little mixer like soundevice, you will be very happy with the sound that you will get

I use sennheiser mkh60 directly to camera and use 48v phatom power from camera also, but too noise. how should i do pls suggest me thank you..

Without the audio upgrade, 48k phantom is very noisy.
If you need to record directly to the camera, maybe try a RODE NTG2 as you can power it with a AA battery instead of phantom.
For best results, use an external mixer so you can go line level. This is very clean.

Recorded directly to the camera yesterday with a Sennheiser ME 66. Levels was the default - settings on build 17. Sound was very low, and I guess I could boost the levels higher, but worse, there were tiny "clicks" heard in the recording, not very high, but still enough to ruin a recording...?
Any other "clicks" out there?
Whats the best settings for recording direct - to - camera?
