I just saw the adobe workflow video and it seems cool.

I work on projects where there's a lot of effects and I'm wondering if its possible to send stuff back and forth with this workflow.

example of how I would want it to be:

I get a rough edit from the editor working in premiere, make some previzes of the effect shots in after effects, and then send it back to him so he can edit with the previzes.
As the editor refines the project i can simply update my after effects project to his edit.

How would an adobe workflow for VERY fx-heavy projects look?

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but usually you work on individual vfx shots. You may get a rough edit to get an idea of the context the shot(s) will end up in.

You'd deliver rough comps to the editor, who would tweak the edit accordingly - and you would keep working on the composites and keep sending the editor new revisions.

At this stage you wouldn't have the full edit in an After Effects project - but just work on individual shots or sometimes short sequences within a project.

thanx

quick question: When I render out dpx's from after effects, will they retain the timecode metadata from the original dpx's?
