This is truly beautiful. Just set the drive down make a dupe and begin editing. And since the touch screen is similar to the iphones theres hope for a future FCP.

I would love to edit with that screen. I've always been facinated with the whole concept presented in Minority Report....its like FCP on steriods.

As mentioned in the video they plan on putting these everywhere...
It seems it's the perfect technology to get huge amount of fingerprints scanned :S
I'm certainly going to be wearing gloves whenever touching these :P

Melvin good point. Could be used for questionable purposes for sure. It also occured to me that if you go to a bar or someplace that has these tables and you lay your cell phone down on it, it could download advertisements and all sorts of things without you knowing. An upload personal info too.

It's a $10,000 Microsoft Coffee Table- that sounds a little like the punchline to a joke..

Yes, we must stop all new technology. This is dangerous.
RED must be stopped. Just watch Terminator 2 and you'll see why.

Wait a couple of years until there is an actual, viable market for these things then Apple will do it properly.

Does anybody else recall the Seinfeld espisode with Kramer and his coffee table book? Now maybe it'll be Bill Gates and his coffee table notebook.
I'm suspecting something here...Seinfeld was on NBC, NBC had a show on last year called Surface and there is always MSNBC...I sense a theme....

In this day and age you need to pair devices or grant access in some way. I would be more concerned with search engines and these new web 2.0 apps where you store all your data on their servers ;)
