I'm about to update my website with the announcement of our reservation of three Red cameras. How would you recommend I describe them? For example, how about: "Southeastern Studios is pleased to announce the reservation of three Red One cameras, believed by many to be the finest digital cinema cameras in the world" or "the world's leading 4K digital cinema camera".
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Tim. Good to meet you in Vegas. Hope all is coming along nicely with the studio.
Either one of those could work. The first one is more of a subjective statement, while the second sounds more factual. I actually like the sound of the first one.

Interesting question - but hard ... because each time when people ask me "So what is so special about this RED" or "what is the RED all about" I reply "Do you have a couple of minutes?" - and second it really depends on the target audience: my wife, a still photographer, my senior dp, a first AC with lot of open source background, an AVID / FCP editor, producers, etc.

That's kind of why I like the first one. "the finest digital cinema cameras in the world". It's got a nice presentation. Most people who will be going to Tim's studio will probably already have some knowledge when it comes to the technology and I think if he makes the words Red One Cameras linkable, anyone who doesn't know specifically about the Red cameras can go to the Red website and check out why they are considered to be the finest cameras in the world. It should generate quite a bit of interest level at that point.

Here's my take on it, for what it's worth (note that I have only mentioned specs that I will be supplying with my two cameras - I'm aware that there are more specs than those on my site but since I won't be offering different mounts, for example, I don't want to confuse the issue for potential renters):

And yes, I'm aware of the irony of renting to a Japanese market with an English website :) It'll be translated in the next few weeks at about the same time I begin advertising in a couple of film industry magazines here, again in Japanese!

Thanks guys. I made the changes and added the word "revolutionary" as in Paul's site.
Steve -- that was a wild mad dash to the Red booth at NAB. I was in the theatre for the first showing of Peter Jackson's short so I was among the first outsiders to see it. I saw you in the booth early but I think you were asking questions of the Red staff rather than being in the theatre for the first showing, correct?
