What is the highest quality 1080p codec or format that this player is capable of playing? If I have a 1080p projector, would I be able to display a higher quality picture with this than with best quality BluRay?

in the states, every Best Buy sells these for the same price. Although you have to pay tax.

it plays avi, h.264, and m4v among others.

So far I only played the h.264 in 1080p; I don't remember the compression settings, but it was set for really high quality. I am playing it from the CF card reader, the player has a usb input and takes really anything you throw at it.
I am not crazy about the interface thought.
