I need to get some new CF cards for my still camera, so I was wondering if anyone on the RED team could comment on any brands that will or won't supported with the RED, if that's currently known. I'm guessing that the Sandisk Extreme IV series will work, as that's what is shown working in the photos. I've seen some cheap prices on "off" brands like Transcend and ATP which are 266x (40MB/sec) and 300x (45MB/sec) respectively. Just trying to future proof a little bit if I can. Thanks, in advance to anyone with some info.

"We have successfully recorded 4k REDCODE RAW (same as Peter Jackson
used to shoot "Crossing the Line") to 8GB of compact flash extreme 4,
which is about 4 1/2 minutes of recording 4K @ 24fps. A bit of a paradigm
shift.

Thanks, tonaci. I know that the Sandisk Extreme IV will work, as I mentioned. I'm actually just wondering if any of the 266x or 300x cards will work, or if some are known to not live up to their ratings, don't have a good track record, etc...

You said you were "guessing" they will work as seen in the photos. I just wanted to post you an actual confirmation of it. But I'm in the same boat and went for the extreme IV to work with my canon slr. You do ask a good question..and I'm sure with more testing, the answer will come. I think they are finalizing the final data rate first before narrowing down the cards that will work.
