Overlay in anamorphic mode build 18

I was testing today with anamorphic lomo's on Build 18, and all works well, however I could not get rid of a grey overlay outside the 4:3 box on the Panny monitor direct from the SDI output. So I do get a desqueezed correct image but left and right I have a semi transparant grey overlay. RED lcd and Viewfinder are fine, so are the clips.

i could be wrong but i believe its a menu item...aspect ratio mask ...

The shading on the directors monitor can be removed if you unplug the on board LCD or EVF. This is not ideal but I'm guessing its one of the reasons it is still in beta build. The other is that the Quicktime proxies appear as 4:3 mosaic patterns when shooting 4k. This was terrifying to find out on my first anamorphic Red job, thankfully i knew a fellow Red owner who had his own Lomo anamorphic lenses and he assured me this was normal for the moment.
Also the editor was using the red code files and not the proxies. these appeared normal in Red Alert although they were squeezed 4;3.
I can't wait till Build 18 is the release build as it is great shooting anamorphic my cameras have done two anamorphic pop promos now. La Roux "In for the kill" & Jade Ewen "It's my time" - the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entry.

Its a bug, i.e there is a register that defines the Look Around area to be used for the HD-SDI / HDMI output

- but that is only used when both the EVF and LCD are plugged in. This register is not correct for ANA.

This has been beta for a few months now. Could there be a point release on the beta to fix this perhaps?

That said I am still incredibly grateful to have desqueezed viewing at all!

Its on the list for sure, but resolution of Blue LCD Screen and Boot Up Stall have a higher priority.

Hi guys just get my Elite ana lenses and i have the same problem as you said, the QT proxy are 4:3 and same az red alart so how i can export ana aspect out of red alart?
