I am preparing for a short comedy that will be shot on the Panasonic HPX500 with the Pro35mm adapter. I am currently interested in finding out what that main visual differences are going to be between Zeiss standard, super speeds, ultra primes, master primes and cooke s4s. In general and with this particular camera. Advantages/Disadvantages.

you will want fastest lenses since the pro-35 eats about 1 1/2 stops of light. Super speeds are probably your most economical route and the most popular for this application but doesn't mean it is the best. If you have enough light and money is not a problem, I would go with Ultra primes or S4's.

You have money to expend for the camera and pro adapter with either of those lenses, it is no brannier use RED.

The HPX500 is donated, so unfortunately the RED is still out of budget. However, if the choice was there, I would be using it in a heatbeat.

A "heatbeat" sounds kinky.
