Sorry, we gotten so used to seeing that little blue timeout spinner in Vista that we gave it a name and refer to it as the "circle of death" also known as the "Blue circle of doom". Mainly because every time we go outside of Premier to work with another program like AE, when we come back to Premier the timeout circle appears and takes about 10-15 minutes to come back online. The current project on the timeline is about 130 minutes. We put up with this about 20-30 times per day so it waste a lot of time. Running on a fairly fast i7 with 6gb ram ddr3. Thanks.

Cut your project into 3-4 parts and save them individually. Also think about getting more RAM, Adobe and Red recommend 16GB to work with Red footage if you can (right now only 2GB sticks are out so 12GB is more realistic).

Paul, Thanks for the reply. I have more ram on the way to bring it to 12. We have the project as 2 separate projects, so maybe we can try it at 4 in 1/4.

you have to hit the save button every single step of the way. its the r3d plugin very buggy, we pushed red too hard they released it when it still wasn't ready. I have 16gbs on one machine and 24 on another it still constantly crashes even just on import. I have reverted to the slow painful proxy editing method with FCP no crashes there.
