There was a time a year ago when I thought I might have a Scarlet by now. I set aside the money and started making plans. Making movies is a hobby for me, not a business, but how many of you feel more passionately about your hobbies/recreation than your work?
On Saturday night we shot a movie with our old JVC GR-HD1 DVC camera. It was one of those target of opportunity special life events, the memory of which would have been enhanced by Scarlet. There will be other opportunities like this, but that one is now on the hard disk as best as we could with this 2002 technology camera. I've never owned a camera for so long, and Ray Kurzweil tells me technological change is accelerating.
There will be another regret for us in Las Vegas 18-21 April. And probably more after that, but each just increases the intensity of our anticipation of Scarlet. We are cheering for Red and hope we can get in an official line for the S35 Scarlet soon.
