Annoucing Cine Technica, the Technical Blog from the backrooms at Abel Cine Tech. Myself and others will be contributing from time to time. Some info is pertinent to REDusers, some is Abel-product specific, and some is just good general knowledge stuff. This is designed to be a less formal way of getting helpful information out to the community. Come check it out and let us know what you think. There's a link on the top of every page of our website or you can use the URL below.

Mitch...no "www" correct?
Wouldn't work for me on a Mac with Safari until I removed www.

Same here; http://blog.abelcine.com works fine.
(On the bottom it says © 2005-2009, so this blog must have been around for a while ;) )

Thanks guys. I've edited the first post to correct the link, no www. Our overall website has been in this form since 2005 and since the blog is part of it that copyright notice just gets stamped on every page. But we just started toying with the idea about a month or so ago. It's been in development for weeks but yesterday is the first day it went active. I and others at Abel plan to be updating it on a regular basis.

Ooooooh... Phantom footage. (I love slowmo.)
The director + DP in that video are... colorful characters.

Then it would have to moderated and start turning itself into an open forum, which is not the point. If anyone has a comment there are links to the authors of each article. If need be we will revise a post or post an additional update.

Well from a strictly biz perspective, comments = links/pings/trackbacks = more traffic = more popular blog. But hey it's your blog. :)
