I was told to only use Redcode 36 with Scratch. Why is this-- something about playback resolution. Thanks.

Nothing specific in regards to SCRATCH. But less compression in RC36 is always a good thing. You might have gotten a tip regarding the Max mode. When selected, some of the "realtime half-res-high SCRATCH systems" aren't able to keep up...

I agree. Max mode definitely requires a lot of processing to play in real time. Ironically, we can't see a difference between footage shot with and without max mode on. RedBOXX 2, which we've been using for a few months, has no problem with max mode at half-res high.
