Jim stated in another thread that the mysterium X sensor has a "32mm image circle for 5k imagery". I wonder if all these new lenses will also cover that image circle (standard being 30mm). Any thoughts?

I can confirm that the older Canon K-35 T1.3 Superspeeds will cover Full Frame 6k, with the exception of the 18mm which will only cover 5k.

Since 4K, 5K and 6K depends on the pixel size, it is more accurate to talk in terms of image circle.

Reds do, can't speak for other manufacturers though.
All our Pro lenses cover 32mm and 5K when Scarlet and EPIC S35 sensor is released. The industry standard for 35mm and PL mount is a 30mm image circle.

Yes, for sure. Especially because pixel or photosite size differs between the various sensor models. The full S35 area on Mysterium-X is 5K, but on Monstro, the S35 area would be about 4.2K.

Breathing and focus throw distance are two major problems with still lenses to do cine work. Cine lenses always do the job and still lenses sometimes do the job.
